The Málaga Carnival Citizen Foundation has concluded its electoral process, appointing its new president for the next four years, with a focus on organization, participation, and transparency.

Following an election day marked by participation and democratic commitment from the carnival community, the Málaga Carnival Citizen Foundation has elected its new president. The winning candidacy advocates for a continuous work approach, focused on organization, participation, transparency, and the cultural strengthening of the festival.
The voting took place at the Carnival House, proceeding normally and registering a notable turnout of registered individuals, reflecting the community's interest and involvement in the future of this celebration. The new Board of Trustees will be composed of the president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, and two members.

The new president has expressed her deep sentimental connection to the festival, emphasizing that she undertakes this stage as part of a dedicated work team. Her main objective will be to foster active participation, ensure equity in management, and promote artistic excellence in all carnival manifestations. She has also assured that the new Board of Trustees will work with rigor, transparency, and a clear future vision.
Key initiatives for the new team include consolidating the Carnival House as an open cultural space, developing the “Carnival at School” program to bring the festival closer to educational centers, recovering dissemination and programming formats, and creating cycles of carnival performances in various parts of the city.
The Board of Trustees will also focus on reviewing and modernizing the COAC scoring system, analyzing prize amounts, strongly promoting youth and junior categories, enhancing the Charanga Contest, and strengthening institutional and sponsor relationships to ensure the continued growth of the Málaga Carnival.
