This initiative will facilitate the complete renewal of materials for students in 1st and 2nd grade of Primary Education. Additionally, resources for students with specific educational support needs will be updated.
Families whose children attend these grades will receive a book voucher to be exchanged at their chosen bookstore. The program is intended for all students enrolled in Primary and Compulsory Secondary Education in publicly funded and state-subsidized schools.
As a new feature, the Séneca platform has been enhanced to allow for barcode-based book labeling, eliminating the need for manual processing and centralizing information.
The provision of free textbooks is a right enshrined in the Statute of Autonomy and the Law 17/2007 on Education in Andalusia. The system operates on a loan basis, with books owned by the educational administration and reused by subsequent students at their schools.
Beyond the financial relief for families, the program aims to instill in students the importance of caring for school materials and taking responsibility for the investment made in their education.
