The meeting was attended by the mayor, Francisco de la Torre, along with delegated councilors, the central government's sub-delegate, Javier Salas, and commanders from Local Police, National Police, Civil Guard, and Regional Police. The focus was on the recent violent incidents involving firearms in the city, including events in Barcenillas, Muelle 1, and calle Jara, as well as the issue of drug trafficking in the area.
The city council requested information regarding the number of officers assigned to reinforce the Costa del Sol Plan in the city and those on ordinary night duty, though these figures were not specified. The intervention of the Local Police and an alleged lack of specific collaboration from the National Police to prevent the setup of tents during an unauthorized demonstration on Monday, September 28, in the Plaza de la Constitución were also discussed.
Despite the issues addressed, the commitment to maintaining the highest level of collaboration among security forces, as has been the case to date, was emphasized.
