The sporting event will incorporate new sections in its 10km route, running through Ingeniero De la Torre Acosta, Martínez Maldonado, and Mármoles streets. The 5km race will also have variations in its course. Registrations to participate are now open via the Andalusian Athletics Federation website and will remain available until one day before the event.
The start and finish lines for both races will be located on Avenida de Andalucía. This year, as a novelty, the 5km and 10km races will start simultaneously at 09:30 AM, although they will run on separate lanes. The event presentation was attended by the Delegate Councilor for Sport, Borja Vivas, along with representatives from Fundación Unicaja and El Corte Inglés, sponsors of the event.
The 10km route will follow the usual path to the Puente de las Américas, then divert through Calle Ingeniero de la Torre Acosta, Calle Martínez Maldonado, and Calle Mármoles to the Puente de la Aurora, before rejoining the traditional course. The mini race of 5km will reach the Carranque neighborhood and return to the center via streets such as Virgen de la Esperanza and Hilera, with a detour through Cerrojo and Pasillo de Atocha.
Race bibs can be collected starting from Friday, October 9, at various El Corte Inglés shopping centers in Malaga and the coast. Registered athletes must collect their bibs at the headquarters of the Andalusian Athletics Federation. To participate in the 10km race, runners must have been born in 2010 or earlier, while the mini race has no age limit.
The race records, established since 2009, are held by Abdelhadi El Mouaziz (29'43") in the men's category since 2014 and by Lola Chiclana (35'02") in 2019. The top three finishers in both categories will receive trophies, medals, and athletic gear, while the overall winners will get an El Corte Inglés gift card. All finishers can download their participation diploma.
