The Fuengirola Bus Terminal is experiencing saturation due to the large number of buses converging at its facilities, causing confusion among users and hindering passenger boarding and alighting.
To decongest this important transport hub, some of the routes that traditionally used the terminal will be relocated to two new stops starting next week.
The Mercacentro Fuengirola stop, located at Avenida Jesús Santos Rein, 4, will become the origin or terminus for routes M-127 Las Lagunas-Fuengirola, M-222 Valtocado-El Barrio-La Alquería-Fuengirola, and M-223 Entrerríos-Las Lagunas-Fuengirola from September 7.
Meanwhile, the Ramón y Cajal Fuengirola stop, situated at Avenida Ramón y Cajal, 4, will host the start or end of routes M-122 Fuengirola-Mijas and M-221 Fuengirola-Coín starting from September 14.
