The Cordoban town of Hinojosa del Duque is preparing to celebrate its eagerly awaited Fair and Festivals in honor of San Agustín 2026. The municipal government team, led by mayor Matías González, has unveiled a packed agenda of events designed to enhance the town's cultural, tourist, and social value, offering leisure options for all ages and audiences.
The fair, aiming to be a showcase of nobility, hospitality, and coexistence, is the result of coordinated work between various departments, local associations, and community groups. The central days of the celebration will run from August 23 to 29, transforming the fairgrounds and emblematic spaces of the town.
The program kicks off on Sunday, August 23, with a parade by the Hinojosa Music Band, the Fair Proclamation by Family Doctor Antonio Jesús Perea Aparicio, followed by fireworks and a Playmobil parade to the fairgrounds, culminating in the lighting of the 2026 Fair Archway.
Throughout the week, events will include the Midday Fair with musical performances, the Senior Day, and the Women's Day with specific activities. The Children's Fair will feature shows like "El Show del Mago Alúa" and "Los Payasos Narizotas", while the nights will be enlivened by orchestras such as Stylo and La Tentación.
Wednesday, August 26, will be dedicated to young people with a consumption voucher and performances by Grupo Versión 2.0. The Hinojosa City Fair Football Trophy between CD Hinojosa and CD Cabeza del Buey will also be held.
On Thursday, August 27, the "Paella Festival" will take place in Constitution Park, featuring popular games and paella contests. The evening will include the Orchestra Ysaira and the Orchestra Moliere Show in the Youth Zone.
Friday, August 28, the day of San Agustín, will include a reception for entities at the Town Hall, performances by the Manoli Chaves Dance Academy and Las Carlotas, and in the evening, Orchestras Eclipse and Ysaira.
The fair will conclude on Saturday, August 29, with a performance by the Chirigota "Ssshhhh!!! Los Saeteros", Orchestras Géminis and Neverland, a grand fireworks display, and the performance of Rumba Canalla in the Youth Zone.
