Agents from the Civil Guard Post in Villanueva de Córdoba carried out an operation in the town's urban center. During a preventive Citizen Security patrol near the local bus station, officers noticed a young man who, upon realizing the police presence, attempted to avoid contact by abruptly changing direction and displaying nervous behavior.
Following his identification and a superficial pat-down, officers found 14 un-packaged pills of various shapes and colors in one of his pockets. Identification tests confirmed they were ecstasy, with a combined weight of approximately 5 grams.
Consequently, the Civil Guard has launched an investigation into this individual as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health related to drug trafficking. The seized narcotic substance was also confiscated.
This operation is part of the Plan for the Prevention of Drug Consumption in Leisure Areas, an initiative that the Civil Guard conducts permanently to prevent the use and trafficking of narcotic substances in public spaces and areas where people gather.
