Manuel Gavira, who also serves as Minister of Tourism, Deregulation, Justice, and Local Administration, criticized the "photo" of Moreno with Sánchez in Turre, the location of the fire's Advanced Command Post, stating that his party is "fed up with politicians talking about climate change."
The joint visit by both presidents occurred in the context of the fire that affected Los Gallardos. During their press conference, Juanma Moreno emphasized the need for public awareness regarding the effects of climate change in Andalusia, while Pedro Sánchez reiterated his call for a state pact against this phenomenon.
In his first public statement as second vice president, Gavira declared: "We are fed up with seeing politicians talk about climate change to evade their responsibilities." He added that "less ideology, more seriousness, more responsibility, and more common sense" are needed.
The Vox representative also directed harsh words towards Sánchez, referring to him as "the leader of the Moncloa mafia" and "responsible for the criminal management of the Adamuz train accident" and for "abandoning the victims of the DANA in Valencia." "You will never see a photo of anyone from Vox with the representative of the mafia," he concluded.
Gavira explained that fire prevention requires "taking all necessary measures to clean the mountains and manage our forests well." He appealed to the government agreement between Vox and the PP-A, which includes prioritizing funds for fire prevention and reviewing regulations that hinder the work of rural workers in forest preservation.
Finally, the second vice president sent a message of support to the fire victims, committing to "rebuild the area and assist those who have lost everything."
