The initiative, which seeks to revive a symbolic itinerary between the two towns in Jaén, will take place under the motto "Walker, there is a path!". Participants will follow in the footsteps of figures such as the poet Antonio Machado, whose connection with Baeza is notable, and San Juan de la Cruz, whose spiritual legacy remains in Úbeda.
The march will begin at 9:00 AM from the Baeza bullring and will conclude around 11:30 AM at the Convent of Discalced Carmelites of the Purísima Concepción in Úbeda. There, attendees will enjoy a traditional breakfast in the convent garden.
The activity is free until capacity is reached and includes a backpack, water, fruit, breakfast, and other surprises. The cloistered convent in Úbeda, founded in 1595, is a place of great historical and spiritual value, linked to San Juan de la Cruz and Saint Teresa of Jesus, and houses a cloistered museum and the incorrupt bodies of two venerable nuns.
To facilitate participation, a bus service will be offered from the Úbeda bus station to Baeza for 2.50 euros. The organization recommends comfortable clothing, sports shoes, a cap, and sun protection to safely enjoy this cultural, historical, and heritage experience.
