The works focus on the JV-3045 (Ibros to Capones) and the JV-6041 (Canena to the A-301), routes that suffered damage from last winter's storms. Over 606,000 euros are being invested in the JV-3045 to repair slope landslides and improve drainage. On the JV-6041, more than 976,000 euros are allocated to reinforce the road surface on the first seven kilometers, with 70% execution.
Additionally, comprehensive reinforcement is underway on the JA-4104 road, connecting Ibros and Canena, with an investment of nearly 400,000 euros. This project includes replacing vertical signage and renewing horizontal markings, as well as improving public access points.
The Deputy for Municipal Infrastructure, José Luis Agea, highlighted the importance of these investments to ensure "dignified roads, safe communications, and better-connected towns, with more progress and opportunities," particularly relevant for agriculture in Ibros and tourism in Canena.
These works are part of a total investment of 4.5 million euros in eight roads in the region, thanks to the joint effort of the Provincial Council and the Government of Spain.
