The municipality of Barbate is preparing to host a major culinary event: 'Burger Wars'. This gastronomic festival, focused on one of the most popular dishes in urban cuisine, will take place at the Lighthouse Park, located next to the town's promenade. The event will offer five days of high-quality burger tasting with free admission.
From Wednesday, August 26th, to Sunday, August 30th, attendees can enjoy this experience in a privileged setting. The official presentation of the event was attended by the mayor of Barbate, Miguel Molina, the councilor for Festivals, Juan Miguel Muñoz, and the councilor for Tourism, Paco Ponce. Local authorities highlighted that such initiatives aim to boost the town's summer life and offer new leisure and gastronomic options for both residents and visitors.
The festival grounds will open daily from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM, allowing attendees to explore a diverse range of burgers. The 'Burger Wars Tour' social media channels have been previewing some of the creations available, such as the 'Black Venom' from Glotom Burger (Cáceres), made with 100% artisan black bread, venom sauce, fried onion, aged beef smash, slow-cooked shredded beef rib, honey-bacon mustard, D.O.P. Parmesan cheese, corn crisp, and strawberry syrup-bathed brioche bun with a beef jerky injection. Another notable offering is the 'Dark Shogun' from Kaos Burger, also from Extremadura, which combines perfectly seared dry-aged meat, heat-melting cheddar cheese, a sweet and intense bacon syrup, and crispy bacon that bursts with every bite, all within a black brioche bun, topped with Parmesan powder.
