The initiative, promoted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), aims to show Nerja's backing for the autonomous city in light of the serious situation arising from events that occurred on July 30th and 31st.
The rally, which will take place at the Town Hall premises under the slogan “Nerja con Ceuta”, will coincide with Ceuta Day.
“"Nerja will stand by Ceuta and its people in these difficult times, conveying our affection, commitment, and solidarity. Ceuta is Spain, and the people of Nerja and Maro want to publicly and closely let them know they are not alone."
Mayor José Alberto Armijo had previously informed the spokespersons of the Municipal Groups and invited all residents of Nerja and Maro to join this act of support.
