The procession of the Virgen de las Maravillas marked the grand finale of the Maro fair on September 9th. After five days of celebration, the town's patron saint was bid farewell amidst expressions of affection and devotion from residents and visitors.
During the procession, attendees showered petals as a sign of affection for the Virgin as she passed through the streets of Maro.

The Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, highlighted the high participation in the festivities and thanked the work of the district mayor of Maro, the Councilor for Major Festivals, the Festival Committee, the Parish Council, as well as the Municipal Services, Local Police, Civil Protection, and the various associations and groups that collaborated in the organization.
Furthermore, the mayor congratulated the inhabitants of Maro for keeping their traditions alive and for the deep devotion they hold for their Patron Saint, the Virgen de las Maravillas.
