The definitive resolution of the latest call for subsidies to support young farmers and ranchers in Andalusia has assigned 22.6 million euros to the province of Jaén. This aid will benefit a total of 430 individuals, of whom 116 are women, reinforcing the commitment to generational renewal and female agricultural work.
The territorial delegate for Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development, Soledad Aranda, highlighted during the closing of the conference ‘From the Land to Leadership: Women Cooperators Changing Course’, organized by AMCAE, that the Ministry is committed to facilitating women's entry into agricultural work. "The Ministry is not only committed to generational renewal in our fields but is also decisively committed to facilitating women's entry into agricultural work with aid like this that we have just resolved," she stated.
The subsidies are aimed at individuals between 18 and 40 years old, with amounts ranging from 30,000 to 80,000 euros per beneficiary. One of the key advantages of this aid is the increase in economic liquidity, as the Andalusian Government makes an initial payment of 25% of the aid upon concession, allowing young people to undertake investments without increasing administrative burdens.
“"The Ministry is not only committed to generational renewal in our fields but is also decisively committed to facilitating women's entry into agricultural work with aid like this that we have just resolved."
Soledad Aranda also thanked AMCAE for its "constant work to pave the way, to train, to accompany, and to make visible female talent in the agri-food sector." She reiterated the Junta's commitment to the role of women in cooperativism, noting that in Andalusia, women represent 30% of the members of agri-food cooperatives, although only about 5% sit on governing councils.
