Following the adverse result in the first leg of the first promotion play-off round to Primera Federación, the Real Jaén coach has conveyed a message of optimism. He urged fans to maintain faith, stating that the team has the capacity to reverse the situation in the upcoming match.
“"Pessimists should stay in Jaén and optimists should go to Vitoria. It's difficult, but not impossible. I see my team capable of winning there and turning it around."
Although the initial assessment of the defeat was not positive, the coach acknowledged that the team approached the match with great enthusiasm. He stressed that, while the tie has become more complicated, it is not lost, and the team will travel with the intention of winning, aware of the difficulty involved.
In his analysis of the match, the coach highlighted that Real Jaén started well, but recognized the effectiveness of the Alavés reserve team, especially in transitions and wide crosses. Despite having a greater presence in the opponent's area and more chances, goal-scoring accuracy was crucial for the final result.
With the 1-2 score, Real Jaén needs to win by two goals in Ibaia to advance. The locker room, though affected, remains motivated and convinced of their possibilities. The coach emphasized that the team will not give up and will fight with enthusiasm and determination to achieve the comeback.
