The tours will take place on September 25th, as well as October 9th and 23rd. These sessions, which have limited capacity, will run in the afternoon from 4:45 PM to 6:45 PM, allowing attendees to explore the heritage and historical memory of the burial site.
To participate, it is mandatory to book a spot through the University of Jaén website. Registration opens the Monday before each tour date at 5:00 PM and remains open until all spots are filled.
The route is divided into three thematic sections. The first focuses on the legacy of historical figures linked to the defense of civil rights between the 19th and early 20th centuries. The second section covers the lives of notable figures from various fields, while the third section is dedicated to historical memory, including the area surrounding the mass graves.
The San Eufrasio Cemetery, which remained active until 2022, is noted for its 19th-century romantic architecture. These visits aim to highlight both the history of those buried there and the collective memory of the city of Jaén.
