The Junta de Andalucía has announced new appointments in its territorial structure, focusing on provincial representation. Changes have occurred in the delegations of Almería, Huelva, and Jaén, maintaining the trend of appointing Popular Party provincial presidents.

The Governing Council of the Junta de Andalucía approved a series of appointments this Wednesday affecting the regional administration's territorial representation. The main novelty centers on the renewal of three out of the eight Government delegations, specifically in the provinces of Almería, Huelva, and Jaén. This decision underscores a notable continuity in most of these high-ranking positions, whose profiles are characterized by holding the provincial presidency of the Popular Party.
The new Government delegate for the Junta in Almería is Francisco Góngora, who, in addition to being the mayor of El Ejido since March of this year, holds the presidency of the PP in that municipality. His appointment will necessitate a replacement as mayor of El Ejido.
In the province of Huelva, the new Government delegate will be Berta Centeno, current secretary-general of the PP of Huelva and a regional deputy.
For his part, Erik Domínguez takes over the Government delegation in Jaén. Domínguez is also a provincial president and a regional parliamentarian. Both appointments, those of Centeno and Domínguez, will imply their departure from the Popular Group in the regional chamber.
The remaining territorial delegates continuing in their roles are Mercedes Colombo in Cádiz and Antonio Jesús Granados in Granada. These two positions do not involve being the top PP representative in their respective provinces. However, other delegates do meet this criterion, such as Adolfo Molina in Córdoba, Patricia Navarro in Málaga, and Ricardo Sánchez in Sevilla, all of whom are provincial presidents of the PP.
