This administrative procedure, designed to provide legal security to thousands of people residing in Spain, has ended after a period of high activity. At the regional level, Andalusia has accumulated 161,557 requests, establishing itself as the fourth autonomous community with the highest volume of registrations nationwide.
Ministerial data indicate that 67% of applicants come from countries in Central and South America. By nationality, Colombia leads the list, followed by Morocco, Venezuela, and Peru. In the gender breakdown within the Andalusian region, 58.2% of the registrations correspond to men, while the remaining 41.8% are women.
The Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration is currently managing the high volume of files. At the national level, the number of requests has exceeded 1.1 million, of which more than half have already been admitted for processing, allowing applicants to obtain a provisional authorization to reside and work legally.
