Huelva-born designer Javier Flores, creator of the brand Mente Inquieta Design, will present his inaugural collection, “Ruido” (Noise), at a fashion show to be held on Thursday, May 14 at 6:00 PM at La Casona de Huelva. This proposal seeks to reinterpret flamenco and Andalusian fashion from a contemporary perspective, incorporating tailoring elements and the rebellious energy of the 1980s punk movement.
The collection's name, “Ruido”, symbolizes the need to be heard in a historical context marked by transition, repression, and the search for freedom. Beyond aesthetics, the collection invites reflection on Spain's recent past and its echo in the present, highlighting female empowerment and the visibility of groups that have fought for their place in society.
The event will not be limited to clothing exhibition but will offer a complete visual experience. The staging will integrate hairdressing, makeup, and conceptual design, with the collaboration of professionals such as Ruth Flores and her team (Salix Lilium Photography & Mai) for audiovisual coverage, and brands like Revlon Professional and Face to Face Hair Studio in the beauty section. The coordination of the space will be handled by La Casona de Huelva.
This collective project aims to boost local fashion in Huelva, strengthening the province's creative fabric and supporting emerging talent in the sector. Access to the fashion show will be limited, although areas in Isla Chica will be set up for those who wish to follow the experience.
