This new sector of the Ardales Cave allows visitors to explore an area with ancient vestiges, both on the ground and on the walls, where various red marks and painted hands are visible. Laboratory analyses have confirmed that many of these representations are over 40,000 years old, with some potentially reaching 65,000 years in antiquity.
This scientific discovery, which at the time revolutionized the research community, is now being made accessible to the general public. The province of Málaga boasts at least four caves with similar dating, highlighting the region's rich archaeological heritage.
