The Salesian School San Juan Bosco in Granada is coordinating the Erasmus+ project 'We Are All the Same', which seeks to foster equality, diversity, and tolerance in education.

The Erasmus+ project 'We Are All the Same', co-financed by the European Union and coordinated by the Salesian School San Juan Bosco in Granada, primarily aims to create more inclusive, respectful, and dialogue-oriented educational centers. The initiative involves entities from Spain, Portugal, and Poland, including the Fundación Inteligencia XXI from Almería.
In an increasingly diverse Europe, schools play a crucial role in building coexistence based on mutual respect, equal dignity, and understanding. The project's goal is to promote values such as respect, tolerance, empathy, prevention of discrimination, and positive appreciation of social diversity among students.
The initiative is founded on the belief that education is a fundamental tool for fostering encounters between people from different cultures and backgrounds, contributing to the creation of school environments that are "safe, respectful, and enriching for everyone," as stated by the educational center.
The main objective is to design an optional didactic proposal for Secondary Education focused on Equality, Diversity, and Tolerance. Through this program, students will develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes to recognize stereotypes, better understand cultural and personal differences, foster empathy, and actively participate in building educational communities based on respect.
Furthermore, the project aims to strengthen the role of teachers as key agents in the holistic development of young people, providing educational resources, reflection activities, and practical dynamics to facilitate constructive conversations about diversity, inclusion, coexistence, and mutual respect. Diversity is presented as an educational opportunity to learn, dialogue, and grow together.
Among the expected outcomes is the development of an educational manual for this didactic proposal, which will include theoretical content, reflection activities, and practical exercises adapted to the reality of secondary school students. The project anticipates the participation of over 200 individuals, including students and teachers, as well as transnational meetings, training activities, and dissemination efforts through websites, newsletters, and social media.
