The event, held in a packed City Hall Courtyard, combined audiovisual elements with a heartfelt speech. Martínez Leyva, visibly moved, shared childhood memories linked to the festivities and highlighted her father's role as a pioneer in selling flamenco dresses in the city with his business, Granada Rociera.
The speaker also emphasized the contributions of various personalities to the growth and preservation of Granadan traditions. In this regard, she paid homage to the flamenco dancer Mariquilla, to whom she presented a bouquet of flowers, and to her dance teacher, María Angustias Solera, a key figure in her life and in the lives of many other Corpus enthusiasts.

The opening ceremony also featured performances by singer Iván Centenillo and dancer Agustín Barajas. The event concluded with Mónica Martínez joining the dance, even accompanied by the renowned dancer Mariquilla.
