The Patronal Brotherhood of the Virgin of Sorrows has announced that the image will be moved starting at 7:00 AM. This decision follows an assessment of the damage to the temple's dome, resulting from seismic activity in the Granada capital.
The transfer will be conducted according to technical guidelines and has the full support of the Archbishop. The Virgin will remain in the Church of the Sagrario until the safety of the original building is fully guaranteed.

This measure will allow the planned religious services for September to proceed. The ceremonies honoring Granada's Patron Saint will take place inside the Church of the Sagrario, enabling Granadans and devotees to accompany the Virgin during this period.
The religious corporation has extended its gratitude to the parish priest of the Sagrario for his assistance, and to all brothers and devotees for their understanding and cooperation during these special circumstances.
