The Tico Medina Park in Granada hosted the SuperDani Hybrid Challenge, an event organized by Kolectivo Centro de Entrenamiento to mark its third anniversary. The main objective of the initiative was to raise awareness about Mitchell Syndrome and collect funds for the research currently being conducted by the University of Granada on this ultra-rare pathology.
The day revolved around the story of a 14-month-old baby from Granada diagnosed with this condition, whose situation has mobilized the community. Through sports activities, coexistence, and a strong spirit of solidarity, the event transformed collective effort into tangible support to advance research and increase visibility for a little-known disease that severely affects the development and quality of life of those who suffer from it.
All funds raised during the event will be entirely allocated to the research of Mitchell Syndrome at the University of Granada. One of the most emotional moments was the presence of the child with his parents, who felt the affection and energy of all attendees on a day marked by camaraderie and commitment.
The Superdani Hybrid Challenger tests were designed to be completed in pairs, with modalities requiring synchronization or relays, symbolizing mutual support. With this approach, the organizers aimed to convey the message that, even in difficult times, there is always someone willing to offer support to keep going, reflecting the reality faced by the child's parents.
“"Seeing so many people dedicated to the child and the research is hard to explain. Sometimes this path is very tough, but days like this remind you that we are not alone."
