The week kicks off in the province of Granada with yellow alerts activated by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) due to both extreme heat and the possibility of storms. Maximum temperatures of up to 38 degrees Celsius are expected in the Cuenca del Genil area, while the regions of Guadix and Baza will be at risk for possible showers and storms.
The forecast for this Monday indicates mostly clear or partly cloudy skies. However, daytime cloud development is expected in the mountains of the northeastern interior, which could lead to showers and storms in the afternoon. These phenomena might be accompanied by hail and very strong wind gusts.
Thermometers will remain with little change compared to previous days. In the provincial capital, temperatures will range between a minimum of 19 degrees and a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius.
Regarding wind direction, it will blow light and variable, tending to a west component with moderate intervals in the afternoon in the interior of the province.
