The town of Abrucena experienced a successful flamenco dress parade on Sunday, May 10, gathering numerous residents and visitors in an event that showcased Andalusian fashion and roots.

The municipal swimming pool area in Abrucena was transformed into an impromptu runway to host the anticipated flamenco dress parade. This event, part of the local festive calendar, successfully brought together a large number of people interested in the fashion and culture of Andalusia.
Jointly organized by the Abrucena City Council and the Active Participation Center (CPA), the parade featured a staging where the blue of the water contrasted with the chromatic explosion of the dresses. Registration, managed through the Punto Vuela, allowed women of various ages to participate, enriching the day with remarkable generational diversity.
The runway showcased a wide range of designs, from the most classic and rigorous to contemporary proposals, demonstrating the richness of local design. The color palette included intense reds, vibrant oranges, hopeful greens, electric blues, and delicate dusty pinks, delighting the audience with its variety.
The distinctive elements of the regional costume, such as polka dots, fringed shawls, flowers in hairstyles, and fans, complemented the elegance of the participants. Many of the local women paraded in dresses that are part of their family heritage or were crafted with great dedication for these festivities, reflecting deep cultural pride.

"The event was not only an authentic first-class aesthetic display but also served as an essential social gathering point for the municipality."

The event was not only an aesthetic display but also an important social gathering point for the municipality. The support from initiatives like Pueblos Mágicos de España underscores the relevance of such activities in preserving the traditions that define the identity of towns like Abrucena.
The unanimous applause at the end of the parade confirmed the success of a day where art and tradition were the main protagonists. With this activity, the municipality reaffirms its commitment to the participatory celebration of its culture, enlivening its public spaces and leaving a memorable mark on the May festivities. The flamenco dress thus consolidates itself as a living and deeply rooted symbol in the heart of the province.
