The restoration project, with a budget of 173,000 euros, will be funded through the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Facility. The Huelva Provincial Council has launched the tender process for the works, which have an estimated execution period of three months.
The building, constructed in 1911, was donated to the local council for public use. Once the work is completed, the space will be named Casa Alosno, flamenco y cultura. The center is designed to host various local folklore events, including the Rama Pilgrimage, Holy Week, the May Crosses, and the festivities in honor of Saint John, featuring the traditional cascabeleros dance.
The architectural intervention will focus on restoring the facade, woodwork, metalwork, and the entrance hall's stained glass. Additionally, accessibility improvements will be made, including the adaptation of restrooms for people with reduced mobility, and the electrical and lighting systems will be renewed throughout both floors of the building.
