The Ayamonte City Council, along with Grupo Urbanz and the real estate agency Fincas Altavilla, have announced the execution of this new VPO development on Bachiller Carrasco street in the town. The initiative aims to facilitate access to affordable housing with high-quality standards.
The project, named 'Alma de los Enamorados', will be marketed in two phases, each with 77 homes, including garage and storage room. The presentation was attended by the mayor, Alberto Fernández; the deputy mayor for Urban Planning, Paloma Ogáyar; the architect and founder of Grupo Urbanz, Aurelio Cazenave; and the manager-attorney of Fincas Altavilla, Víctor Manuel Feu.
Mayor Alberto Fernández highlighted the importance of the development for expanding protected housing in sector 12, an area undergoing significant transformation that will create new public space. He emphasized Ayamonte's housing dynamism, noting that nearly 40% of all construction planned in the province of Huelva between this year and next is concentrated in the municipality, positioning it as a driver of provincial development.
Ayamonte reaffirms its position as the municipality in the province of Huelva with the most VPO construction. The mayor stressed that this development is the result of public-private collaboration, a model that facilitates the market supply of affordable homes.
Aurelio Cazenave, architect and founder of Grupo Urbanz, praised the joint work with the City Council to market the homes at a price below the established VPO module, while maintaining high quality.
The first phase of 77 homes is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, followed by the second phase. The City Council is working on the new PGOM and POU (General Urban Planning Plan and Urban Planning Ordinance), tools intended to provide certainty to investors and promote a sustainable city model.
To be eligible for one of these homes, applicants must be registered in the Municipal Public Registry of Protected Housing Demanders of Ayamonte and meet the established access requirements.
Details of the new development will be publicly presented this Wednesday, September 30, at 7:00 PM, in the auditorium of the Centro Cultural Casa Grande in Ayamonte.
