The initiative aims to bring the cultural heritage of flamenco closer to citizens through sculpture, singing, and audiovisuals, with three cultural proposals developed in different locations within the town.
The sculpture exhibition 'Sentimientos' by artist David Vaamonde will be on display from November 6 to 30 at Casa Grande. The exhibition has been loaned by the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco.
On Saturday, November 7, at 8:00 PM, the Cardenio Theater will host the concert '30 years of cante' by Rocío Segura. The artist from Almería, recognized with the prestigious Lámpara Minera award for singing, will offer a special free performance.
The program will culminate on Monday, November 16, coinciding with International Flamenco Day, with the screening of the documentary 'Jesucristo Flamenco', directed by Laura Muñoz Liaño, at Casa Grande at 8:00 PM. The film features prominent flamenco figures including Arcángel, Carmen Escudero, Carmen Linares, and David Palomar.
With this third edition, the Ayamonte City Council reaffirms its commitment to promoting and valuing flamenco, an Andalusian cultural heritage that forms a significant link to the town's history and traditions.
