The inaugural event, presided over by Mayor Carmen Álvarez, featured an evocative concert by Desirée Martín (vocals and instruments) and Juan Manuel Román (double bass). They offered the attending audience a reinterpretation of medieval and Hispanic popular music.
This program, promoted by the City Council along with the Círculo de Artesanos and the beach bar La Orilla, commemorates the expedition of Magellan and Elcano, which departed from Sanlúcar on September 20, 1519.
