The town of Salobreña is gearing up to celebrate one of its most important cultural events: the 31st D. Enrique Pareja Bosch Band Music Contest. This event is part of the programming for the Patron Saint Festivals in honor of the Virgen del Rosario.
The contest will bring together the Salobreña Municipal Band, conducted by Jorge García Quirantes, and the Roquetas de Mar Musical Union, led by Ignacio Bolívar. The event will be presented by José Daniel Montoro.
The day will begin with a street parade by both musical ensembles, starting from the Casa de la Cultura to the Plaza de la Pontanilla. Subsequently, at 9:00 PM, the concert will take place on the Paseo de las Flores.
This edition of the contest holds special significance as it marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Municipal Music School, one of the most deeply rooted cultural traditions in Salobreña.
