The Councilor for Urban Planning, Juan Carlos Morejón, has reported on the proposal received for the development of an underground parking project in the Corredor Verde, a strategic area connecting Puerto de La Duquesa with El Castillo.
This project plans for slightly over 600 parking spaces, which are expected to help resolve the significant lack of parking in this important area of the municipality.
Currently, municipal technicians are conducting the relevant study, which is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. Subsequently, the administrative concession will be put out for tender.
According to the head of Urban Planning, the parking problem, along with housing and improving access to the La Dehesilla industrial estate, have been the priority objectives since he took charge of the department. Efforts are focused on finding solutions that balance public and private investment without depleting municipal funds.
