The Health and Sports departments of the Manilva City Council are studying the feasibility of offering financial incentives, such as discounts or full payment exemptions, to individuals who, by medical prescription, need to engage in daily physical exercise.
The councilors responsible for both areas, Juan Carlos Morejón and Rogelio Pascual, held a meeting with municipal technicians to shape this proposal. The aim is to benefit individuals with chronic or degenerative diseases, among other conditions.
The initiative plans for these citizens to have free or discounted access to the municipal gym and sports activities focused on rehabilitation, which are integrated into the sports programs set to launch next October.
The intention of the Health and Sports delegations is to finalize the details of this proposal to present it at the upcoming extraordinary plenary session scheduled for this month of October.
