The town of Mijas is preparing to welcome Malaga-born writer Lola Cabrillana, who will present her most recent work, La maestra de los invisibles. The event, to be held on Friday, May 8, starting at 7:00 PM at Lagar Don Elías, is a joint initiative of the Mijas City Council's Department of Family and Equal Opportunities and the 'La excusa perfecta' reading club.
The presentation will feature the author, who will share with attendees the inspirations behind her novel and her perspective on current society and the challenges it faces. Following the initial presentation, a colloquium will open where readers will have the opportunity to interact directly with Cabrillana, asking questions about her views on teaching, youth, education, and coexistence, recurring themes in her literary work.

The mayor of Mijas, Ana Mata, who also leads the Department of Family and Equal Opportunities, highlighted the social nature of Cabrillana's work during the event's presentation. She emphasized the novelist's ability to offer a worldview she considers "very motivating." This event is part of the activities organized by the municipal department to bring different conceptions of life and society to the citizens of Mijas, always through figures who stand out for their professional career, their social commitment, or their cultural contributions.
