The Department of Seniors of the Mijas City Council has announced the opening of the registration period for the annual Seniors' Trip initiative. This year, the chosen destination is the coast of Cádiz, focusing on the municipality of Chipiona.
Interested citizens can complete their application by submitting the required documentation at the registry offices of the City Council, the Deputy Mayor's Offices, and the Seniors' Office at the Active Participation Center in Las Lagunas. Alternatively, the process can be carried out virtually through the electronic headquarters available on the municipal website.
To complete the registration, applicants must present their membership card and physical ID. Information provided by the Department indicates that a total of 1600 places have been made available. Should the number of applications exceed the available quota, a lottery will be held for allocation.
The trip will take place over four shifts distributed throughout the second half of October. The participation cost has been set at 6.50 euros per person, an amount that can be paid at the active participation centers or by bank transfer once the available places are confirmed.
Among the requirements to access this activity, applicants must possess a card from the Active Participation Centers of Las Lagunas, Mijas Pueblo, or the Seniors' Center of La Cala. Additionally, it is necessary to have been registered as a resident in Mijas for at least five years, among other conditions. Detailed information is available on the municipal website, and the registration period closes on August 14th.
