The objective is to reinforce the Marbella brand as a leading destination for golf tourism among international professionals and enthusiasts. The initiative aims to attract high-value visitors, especially outside peak tourist months.
The Councilor for Sports, Lisandro Vieytes, and the Director General of Tourism, Laura de Arce, have traveled to Scotland to participate in the event. Vieytes highlighted that participating in such events allows them to showcase the city's offerings firsthand and establish relationships that can generate new opportunities.
For her part, De Arce stated that Marbella has all the elements to be a reference golf destination throughout the year. The presence in Aberdeen aims to bring the brand directly to markets and audiences with a strong interest in this segment. Meetings were held with organizers to better understand their needs, present the town's updated offerings, and explore new avenues for collaboration, including the possibility of hosting the tournament again in Marbella in 2027.
During the event, Marbella had its own promotional space at the venue, serving as an information point for direct contact with numerous professionals and fans. This action is part of the strategy to consolidate the city as one of Europe's premier golf tourism destinations.
The municipality boasts a wide range of golf courses, hotels, restaurants, and complementary services. The participation in Scotland continues the relationship with the 'Legends Tour', following the 'Staysure Marbella Legends' held in February at the Aloha Golf Club. The promotional strategy will continue in England with the 'English Legends' in late August.
