Atlético Zabal Linense is preparing for an intense week of football with the celebration of three preseason competitions at the Campo Virgen del Carmen (Flores), located in the Linense neighborhood of La Atunara.
The first event will take place this Wednesday at 8:30 PM and will feature a tribute match to Florentino González García (Flores), a key director in the club's early days. In this match, Zabal's Youth Division of Honor team will face Vázquez Cultural de Marbella.
On Friday, the Trofeo Diputación will be held, a regional tournament supported by the Provincial Council of Cádiz (Diputación de Cádiz). This event will include three categories: pre-benjamín, benjamín, and alevín. The pre-benjamín competition will divide teams into two groups of four, while the benjamín and alevín categories will have four groups of three teams. Participating teams include Atlético Zabal, AD Atunara, Esteponense, Gibraltar 2016, Tarifa Academy, CD Estepona, Mirador, Monitores de Algeciras, UD Tesorillo, Juventud de Palmones, Puente Mayorga, Bahía de Algeciras, and Lynx de Gibraltar. The day will start at 4:00 PM and conclude shortly before midnight.
Finally, on Saturday, the XXIII Torneo Francisco Polo will take place, with an autonomous (regional) character, reserved for the benjamín and alevín categories. In addition to the hosts, participating teams include Tiro de Pichón, Escuela Granada del RCD Espanyol de Barcelona, Cádiz, San Roque Balompié de Sevilla, Fútbol Origen Andaluz, Mirador, Salesianos, Marbella CF, San Fernando, Burreños de Conil, La Mosca, Atlético de Marbella, Costa Tropical de Motril, Dos Hermanas, Puerto Real, Selección de Gibraltar, Rayo Vallecano, Real Betis, Monitores, Estepona, and CD Estrella.
