The municipal corporation of Casares has unanimously greenlit a motion calling for the construction of an Early Childhood and Primary Education center in Casares Costa. The proposal, put forward by Izquierda Unida, received support from all political groups present in the Plenary session.
This initiative arises from the lack of a Primary school in Casares Costa, forcing students to travel approximately 14 kilometers daily to the CEIP Blas Infante in Casares town. This situation impacts the quality of life for families and contributes to the overcrowding of the existing educational center.
In the same plenary session, the modification of the Local Plan for Forest Fire Emergencies (PLEIF) of Casares for the period 2024-2028, adapted to Decree 69/2024, was also unanimously approved. Furthermore, the municipal Regulation of Honors and Distinctions was modified.
In the economic sphere, the General Account for the fiscal year 2025 was approved with seven votes in favor and three abstentions. With the same outcome, a credit modification and the rectification of balances of creditor and debtor accounts from previous years were initially approved.
The Plenary dismissed, with seven votes in favor and three abstentions, the appeal filed against the final approval of an extraordinary intervention for a detached single-family home and swimming pool in the La Manga area.
