The Diputación de Córdoba, through its Delegation of Technological Development, Digital Transformation, and Youth, has announced a new edition of the 2026 Youth Awards. These accolades are designed to recognize the trajectory, effort, talent, and commitment of young individuals, collectives, entities, and institutions within the province who develop initiatives favoring youth.
The awards will be presented at the ‘Provincial Youth Gala 2026’ on November 13th in the Assembly Hall of the provincial institution. The objective is to distinguish initiatives and careers that stand out in areas related to youth.
The call establishes nine categories. Eight of them come with a financial award of 1,000 euros each, and a ninth is honorary. The awarded categories include Social Commitment, Volunteering, and Associativism; Equality, Sexual and Gender Diversity; Inclusion of People with Different Abilities; Best Academic Record PAU; Culture; Entrepreneurship; Science and Technology, and Youth Sports.
Additionally, the Honorary Award for Youth Programs will be granted, recognizing initiatives, projects, or programs that have stood out for their contribution to the development and promotion of policies and actions aimed at youth.
According to Sara Alguacil, delegate for Technological Development, Digital Transformation, and Youth, eligible candidates include young people between 14 and 35 years old, born or registered in the province of Córdoba, as well as public or private collectives, entities, and institutions whose activities contribute to the objectives of the call.
Alguacil also explained that candidacies must be submitted by third parties or entities, and self-nomination will result in direct exclusion.
The submission period will be 10 working days, starting the day after the call's publication in the Official Gazette of the Province, meaning from October 1st.
The ‘Provincial Youth Gala 2026’ will be held on November 13th at 7:30 PM in the Assembly Hall of the Palacio de la Merced, and will be directed by fashion journalist and influencer, María Jiménez.
During the gala, the Youth Information Center Calendar 2027 will be presented, coordinated by artist Almudena Castillejo, who also illustrates its cover. This calendar aims to give visibility to young artists and will be dedicated to fashion.
Alguacil concluded that choosing fashion as a transversal theme for the calendar seeks a perfect union between fashion designers and artists. As a novelty, fashion shows by emerging designers will be held, some already represented by ‘Córdoba de Moda’, an initiative of the Provincial Institute for Economic Development (Iprodeco). After the gala, attendees will enjoy a performance by ‘Califa jerezano’.
