The Córdoba Medical Union has filed collective lawsuits against the province's health management bodies, accusing the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) of systematic non-compliance with Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP) regulations.
The legal actions, initiated in June before the Social Section of the Court of Instance of Córdoba, aim to defend the labor rights of physicians against what they consider a continuous violation of safety and health regulations.
Among the identified deficiencies are the absence or inadequacy of digital disconnection protocols, an issue already under investigation by the Labor Inspectorate, and incomplete psychosocial risk assessments, particularly for the medical staff in various management areas.
The union has also reported the breach of mandatory weekly rest periods, especially for personnel on call, and the lack of a specific evaluation of physical and mental fatigue resulting from workload and sleep fragmentation.

"The degradation of doctors' working conditions directly impacts the quality and safety of healthcare. A public health system cannot be sustained on precariousness and the continuous exhaustion of its professionals."
It is warned that the current organizational model fosters an "epidemic of medical burnout" and other mental pathologies, indicating a structural problem. The union urges other union organizations to join these lawsuits to ensure a "dignified, safe, and sustainable" health system.
