A scare occurred in the Ciudad Jardín neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters from the Extinction of Fires and Rescue Service (SEIS) of the Córdoba City Council had to intervene following a report of a fire in a dwelling on Alcalde de la Cruz Ceballos street.
The fire originated in the kitchen of the affected apartment. Responders proceeded to evacuate six residents from the building due to the rapid spread of smoke throughout the property.
Of those evacuated, two were the residents of the apartment where the fire started. Both, elderly individuals, required treatment for smoke inhalation. The 112 Emergency Service, under the Regional Ministry of the Presidency and Health of the Junta, reported that they were treated on Alcalde de la Cruz Ceballos street and did not need to be transferred to the Reina Sofía hospital.
