According to data published by the National Statistics Institute (INE) through the Active Population Survey (EPA), the province currently has 314,900 employed people. This figure represents an increase of 6,800 workers compared to the same period last year.
The number of unemployed people in Córdoba has fallen to 53,500, which is a decrease of 7,800 unemployed compared to the second quarter of 2025. This evolution has allowed the provincial unemployment rate to stand at 14.52%, a drop of more than two percentage points in just three months.
Despite this positive trend, the province maintains a gap with respect to the national average, whose unemployment rate stands at 9.87%. Córdoba continues to occupy one of the highest positions in unemployment nationwide, ranking as the fifth province with the highest rate, behind Cádiz, Granada, Ciudad Real, and Jaén.
The analysis by gender reveals different dynamics in the Cordovan labor market. While male employment has experienced notable growth, going from 170,300 to 177,300 employed, female employment remains at levels similar to the previous year, with 137,600 women working.
