The 'blanquiverde' squad, preparing for its eighth consecutive season in the First Division, will compete for its third Andalusian crown in the Jaén town of Torredelcampo. The Cordoba team previously won this title in 2020 and 2023.
The tournament will take place at the 18 de Febrero pavilion in Torredelcampo. Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad, after playing several pre-season matches, will continue its preparation for the league debut on September 12 in El Ejido.
Following Ema Santoro's departure, David Fernández took over as head coach. The squad has been revamped with new signings such as Brazilian winger Lucas Perin, as well as Alvarito, Ivi, Pablo Ordóñez, Faly, Miguel Palacio, and Pablo Ibarra. Players from last season like Fabio and Víctor remain, and Zequi, Murilo, Titi del Rey, David Fernández, and Hugo have been renewed.
The Copa de Andalucía kicks off on Friday at 7:00 PM with the first semi-final between Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad and CD Avanza Jaén. The second semi-final, on Saturday at the same time, will pit Xerez Toyota Nimauto against Jaén Paraíso Interior, the current champions.
The winners of both semi-finals will compete in the grand final on Sunday at 7:00 PM. Tickets for the semi-finals are priced at five euros.
Córdoba Futsal aims to dethrone Jaén Paraíso Interior, who have won the last two editions and hold seven Andalusian titles, compared to the two in the Cordoba club's trophy cabinet. The team will conclude its preparation on Friday, September 4, with a match at Vista Alegre against Zambú Pinatar.
