The organization Medina Azahara Food Bank of Cordoba has released its figures for the second quarter of 2026. Between April and June, the entity provided aid to a total of 14,645 people.
The profile of beneficiaries is diverse, although the majority of assistance is directed towards the adult population, totaling 13,866 users. However, the Bank also recorded assistance to 606 children aged between 3 and 15, and 173 infants aged 0 to 2.
In terms of aid volume, a notable logistical effort has been made, reaching 386,915 kilos of food distributed in the second quarter alone. This figure is added to the 369,341 kilos distributed in the first quarter, bringing the total for the year to date to 756,256 kilos.
For the effective distribution of these supplies, the Bank collaborates closely with 171 institutions. Of these, 62 are dedicated to direct consumption, such as social canteens and residences, while the other 109 act as distribution centers for families.
All this activity is coordinated by a team of five permanent staff members and the ongoing support of 36 volunteers.
