Baena, renowned for its rich history, valuable heritage, and one of Andalusia's most celebrated olive oils, now strengthens its position in the national gastronomic landscape. Its inclusion in this network underscores its commitment to an authentic and high-quality culinary experience.
“"There are towns that don't appear in guides, but they stay in your memory. These are those corners where time moves slower, bread tastes of wood-fired ovens, and neighbors still greet each other by name."
The Red de Pueblos Gastronómicos de España comprises eleven municipalities that have passed a rigorous audit, proving themselves to be examples of tourist and gastronomic excellence. Among them are Alcázar de San Juan, Almendralejo, Aracena, Cangas del Narcea, Llerena, San Cristóbal de La Laguna, and Sigüenza, in addition to Baena.
This initiative aims to promote quality tourism, connecting the national territory through its GastroRutas. Travelers can design itineraries that link nearby municipalities, discovering places where tradition, fusion, and local stories intertwine with indigenous products and ancestral recipes.
The project, supported by the RV EDIPRESS Group, JUST GAME, and MAGNUS NATURE, aspires to become a country brand, uniting Spain's most unique towns through their gastronomy, festivals, culture, heritage, and the essence of their people.
