Francisco Amador Cortés, riding Marqués YY, secured victory in the Grand Prix Level of the IX Spanish High School Championship, held on Saturday, September 19, at the Royal Stables of Córdoba. Cortés achieved the highest score of the winning tests, 75.038%, thus revalidating the triumph he achieved the previous year in the same venue.
The competition, part of the Cabalcor 2026 program, brought together 53 riders from various autonomous communities, including a notable representation from Valencia, Alicante, and the Region of Murcia, in addition to local participants from Córdoba. The public responded with a large turnout throughout the day.
Córdoba Ecuestre also achieved good results. Four of its riders earned prizes and notable scores: Cristina Márquez Muñoz took first place in the Medium Level Freestyle for Ladies (74.204%), Manuel Morejón Pérez won in Groundwork II (74.204%), while Francisco Ruiz Ruiz and David Marín Garrido secured second places in Intermediate Freestyle (70.341%) and Advanced Freestyle (71.288%), respectively.
The event was highlighted not only for the competition but also for the excellent atmosphere and camaraderie among participants, especially those from Valencia. The choice of the Royal Stables, a historic venue linked to Spanish horsemanship, united contemporary competition with tradition.
The Cabalcor 2026 program will continue with the XXXI International PRE Morphological Competition City of Córdoba (September 24-26), the XLVI National Championship of Arabian Horses (October 2-4), and a new CDN of Classical Dressage (October 13-14).
