The Provincial Council of Córdoba hosted the VII Erasmus Days+ Meeting, bringing together over a hundred teachers, students, and representatives from educational institutions in the capital and the province. The event, held at the Palacio de la Merced, served as a meeting point to share experiences and knowledge gained through participation in European projects.
This gathering is part of the commemoration of the ‘Erasmus Days 2026’, taking place from October 12th to 17th. The event aims to highlight the numerous benefits of the Erasmus+ program, fostering the exchange of experiences and the dissemination of projects developed by participants. This year's theme, ‘Learning and Growing: Skills for the Future’, aligns with the European Commission's Skills Agenda, focusing on literacy, mathematics, science, digital skills, and citizenship.
The ‘Erasmus Days 2026’ seek to raise awareness of the opportunities, experiences, and benefits of the Erasmus+ program, promoting international cooperation, shared learning, and the development of active and engaged European citizenship. Ana Rosa Ruz, the delegate for Finance and European Funds of the provincial institution, emphasized that the Erasmus Days in Córdoba provide an opportunity to showcase the commitment of educational centers to the internationalization of education.
Ana Rosa Ruz stressed that the involvement of Cordoban centers strengthens collaboration networks between institutions, drives new initiatives for international mobility and cooperation, and promotes a more open, inclusive, and innovative education. Furthermore, she noted, it allows students to play a leading role in sharing their experiences, becoming ambassadors of European values both within and outside their institutions.
A total of 11 educational centers, from both the capital and the province, participated in this event. More than 100 students and teachers shared their experiences within the European Union's Erasmus+ program and the activities organized for Erasmus Day in the Assembly Hall.
Participating centers include the primary schools Guillermo Romero Fernández (Alameda del Obispo) and Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Montoro); the secondary schools La Soledad (Villafranca de Córdoba), Blas Infante (Córdoba), El Tablero (Córdoba), Cárbula (Almodóvar del Río), Luis de Góngora (Córdoba), Francisco de los Ríos (Fernán Núñez), and Fidiana (Córdoba); along with the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas Corduba and Colegio Séneca (Córdoba).
