The main objective of these agreements is to equip the institution with efficient and modern infrastructure for providing quality public services, while also eliminating unnecessary costs and promoting the saving of public resources.
The president of the institution, Salvador Fuentes, explained that the agreements will allow the Guadiato Service of Architecture and Urbanism (SAU) to establish its headquarters in a new location and facilitate the expansion of the social center managed by the Provincial Institute of Social Welfare (IPBS) in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo.
Regarding the SAU of Guadiato headquarters, an external transfer of ownership in favor of the Provincial Council has been formalized for the municipal property located at Calle Constitución nº 5, in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo. This action will optimize public resources by eliminating the current private rental cost and ensuring service stability in the region.
The second agreement involves the transfer of use of municipal properties located at Calle José Simón Lillo n.º 86 and 88 in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo. The aim is to carry out the comprehensive renovation and expansion of the social services center managed by the IPBS, thereby improving the capacity and quality of care provided in the municipality and the region to meet current welfare needs and increasing demand.
Salvador Fuentes highlighted that this agreement addresses a need previously raised by the Center's workers and a long-standing demand from IPBS employees and users of this essential service. He emphasized that the transfer is the result of "much work and commitment" and responds to the need to "continue advancing in the implementation of the social and protection framework in our province."
