This competition counts towards the IV Provincial Circuit of Duathlon and Triathlon for Minors of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, the Andalusian Championship for the Alevín and Infantil categories, and the VI Andalusian League of Triathlon Schools. The delegate for Sports of the provincial institution, Antonio Martín, highlighted the triathlon's consolidation in the Andalusian calendar thanks to the work of local clubs, who are the true drivers of grassroots sports in Montilla.
Martín emphasized that these circuits are a significant commitment, not only on a sporting level but also for tourism and the economy, as each event offers an opportunity to enjoy the natural and urban landscape of the province.
The triathlon will feature participants born between 2009 (Juveniles) and 2020 (Prebenjamines). The distances will vary by category. The youngest, born in 2019 and 2020, will complete 25 meters of swimming, 550 meters of cycling, and 125 meters of running. Juveniles (2009-2010) will face 400 meters of swimming, 8.36 kilometers of cycling, and 1,800 meters of running.
