The Provincial Council of Córdoba, through IPRODECO, is launching a program to improve the financial management of 20 SMEs in the province, with the support of the Confederation of Businessmen of Córdoba (CECO) and the Loyola University.

The main objective of this initiative is to strengthen basic financial control in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province of Córdoba, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and sustainability. The program will be developed in municipalities such as Fuente Palmera, Pozoblanco, Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo, and Fernán Núñez.
As explained by the delegate for Economic Development, Promotion, and Employment, Félix Romero, the initiative responds to the need for micro and small enterprises to adopt financial control systems to analyze profitability, prevent liquidity risks, and facilitate access to financing.
The program will offer practical and personalized support to help entrepreneurs interpret their businesses' economic information and use it for informed decision-making. Romero highlighted that such projects contribute to retaining the population in the territory and creating business opportunities.
The general secretary of CECO, José Manuel Rodríguez, detailed the project's three phases. Thanks to the tutoring provided by renowned trainers from Loyola University, entrepreneurs will learn to interpret their accounting and financial figures to improve their companies' profitability.
The first phase will involve an individualized prior diagnosis for each participating company. The second phase will include five online work sessions to formulate a self-diagnosis. The aim is for entrepreneurs to understand how numbers reflect their business's reality and what calculations are necessary to ensure profitability.
Finally, the third phase will consist of masterclasses open to the business community in the participating municipalities, focusing on the utility of analyzing the financial information generated by the business for informed decision-making.
The project will be executed between June 2026 and June 2027, with the participation of a technical team from CECO and faculty members from Loyola University.
